When we go through the file list in Elmatica Complete (EC), there are a few things needed to be considered:-
1) Paste File
Go to the order--> click on the part number--> under Summary--> see General
1) SMD pads top - if the box NOT marked "X" means no SMD pads. Therefore, no paste file for top layer.
2) SMD pads bottom - if the box NOT marked "X" means no SMD pads. Therefore, no paste file for bottom layer.
3) Paste files in gerber - indicated "Top", "Bottom", "Both" OR "None" - this mean customer gerber comes with "Top", "Bottom", "Both" OR no paste file supplied.
As informed supplier earlier, our supplier shall not create the stepped paste files if customer original gerber does not supply.
Therefore, if indicated:-
Paste files in gerber: Top - only need Top stepped paste file from supplier
Paste files in gerber: Bottom - only need Bottom stepped paste file from supplier
Paste files in gerber: Both - only need Top and Bottom stepped paste file from supplier
Paste files in gerber: None - we could request working gerber instead.
In order to check if the supplier provides the correct files, we need to click into the file and check on the layer name. The standard are:-
They might provide different from mentioned above (This is further verification by considering all layers's name).
2) Working Gerber (WG)
In general, we need to ask for this when we required paste file. This will be updated in EC for internal reference if customer do not request.
If stepped paste files / WG sent to customer via email earlier or during Engineering Query (EQ) stage, we shall click on the OVERRIDE BOX "X" and in SPO, add the tag "spo_file_rec" to avoid automation email sending to supplier to ask for files. We shall not send the same file to customer again as this will confuse them.
If you not able to identify the correct layer or correct file, please check with other Customer Service or Technical Department before take further action.
